We have great news to share! Four Seasons Gourmet Foods is the newest member of the Local Producer Loan Program family. We’ll be awarding the Seattle-based company with a low-interest loan for $6,000, allowing them to purchase an important machine that will create greater efficiencies in production.
Four Seasons Gourmet Foods was started by Pericles Tarsinos, who makes amazing sauces and spreads from locally grown fruit and peppers.
I mentioned that Four Seasons Gourmet Foods is now part of the family. And what a big family it is! As of the end of September, the Local Producer Loan Program had disbursed approximately $18.3 million in loans to 235 local producers company-wide. The program touches 39 states and 2 provinces in Canada (Ontario and BC).
Recently, Pericles shared news of this loan with friends, family and supporters on his own Facebook page. He said, “Today is a small celebration about what happens when people work very hard together towards a common goal where everybody wins.” We’re proud to work hard together with producers like Four Seasons Gourmet Foods!
Come join us as we celebrate this new loan on Saturday, October 31 at 11 am at the Whole Foods Market Lynnwood store. We’ll present Pericles with a check, and then stay to enjoy the Harvest Taste Fair, with an opportunity to meet many of the amazing small producers you can find in our stores.
