It’s been a big week for Heidi Ho! Organics. We presented them with a $100,000 check last weekend as part of their most-recent Local Producer Loan, which they’ll use to take their product national. Then, just yesterday, owners Heidi and Lyssa announced they’ll be part of the 100th episode of ABC’s Shark Tank, set to air Friday, November 14.
Heidi Ho currently produces a range of delicious cheese alternatives that can be found throughout Whole Foods Market stores in the Pacific Northwest. They’ll be on shelves nationwide come February.
Founder Heidi Lovig and her partner Lyssa Story founded Heidi Ho in 2011. They received their first loan in April 2013 to expand beyond the Pacific Northwest.
Heidi Ho! has a range of plant-based cheezes that are made from sustainably sourced ingredients, without any additives, fillers, or unnatural preservatives. Heidi Ho products are dairy free, gluten-free, and soy free. Nevertheless, their products have similar characteristics of dairy cheese, like meltability. Their line includes three new, cultured cashew products similar to goat cheese, Heidi Ho also has three veggie-based products that utilize chia seeds and are similar to a cow milk cheeses. They are great for mac n’ cheese, nachos, and all everyday comfort cheese recipes!
Being on Shark Tank is a HUGE honor for any small business, and I hope you’ll cheer them on as they educate the Sharks on the benefits of plant-based food.
